5th Annual Winter Wonderland 2016
On December 3, 2016, the City of Southside Place held its 5th annual Winter Wonderland. There was much fun and laughter to be had despite the unfavorable weather. The festivities were moved inside the clubhouse and onto the patio where families enjoyed games, face painting, inflatables, and a mechanical bull. Santa was also in attendance to take pictures and check off some names on his list.
2016 Southside Place Color Dash
On October 8, the City of Southside Place held its first Color Dash with around 250 participants and volunteers. The event was sponsored by Kristine Martinez of John Daugherty Realtors.
The participants were showered with colored powder along the 2-mile course through the city. A color dance party waited at the end of the course and the fire department stood ready with water from the fire truck to for those willing participants. All proceeds went to the Fire Truck Park Fund.
Dinner and Blues in Honor of our Men and Women in Blue
More than 200 residents and friends came out to the park on September 25 for a Blues Night in honor of our first responders and their families. A dinner of burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream sundaes was accompanied by live music by the Milton Hopkins Hit City Blues Band.
