Heatlh Alert - COVID-19


The Parks and Recreation Department's primary concern is the health and safety of our members. program participants, staff, and their families. In accordance, the following measures are currently in effect.

Facility Closures



Effective March 17, 2020 the Clubhouse has temporarily closed and all activities are suspended in effort to protect the public and limit the spread of COVID-19.

Renters will be refunded in full. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 832-509-4642 or check the website for updated information. No new reservations will be accepted or approved until after May 1st. 

Park Information



As of March 24, the playground and basketball are closed. As of 10:00 PM, March 24, 2020 the tennis courts will be closed. Pavilion, clubhouse and deck rentals have been cancelled through May 1st.

Registration Now Open for Summer Camp and Swim Team 2020



Summer is almost upon us and with it is time to sign up for Summer Camp and Swim Team. Registration is now open on our Parks and Rec site. You may register by following the links below, or you may visit the Summer Camp and Swim Team pages for more information. You must be a current Season Pass holder in good standing in order to register. Join us for another fun filled summer with Southside Place!

  • Thursday, March 5, 2020 5:30-7:30PM - Dinner in the Park - Join us for a luau themed dinner in the park and get information regarding registration for summer camp and swim team for the 2020 season. Jeff Carrus, Samantha Smith, and Sarah Lutz will be in attendance.

Parks and Recreation Director Wads Crews Day on August 13



The city honored Wads Crews at the clubhouse for his 20 years of community service on August 13. Wads received many well wishes from citizens, two city street signs with his name on them, and a city proclamation thanking him for his dedication to the city.Wads is moving to Florida and will be missed by everyone. Andrew Deavers, a Southside Place resident on Elmora, will be the new park and recreation director beginning in early December. Andrew has served many roles in the past few years from summer camp counselor, lifeguard, swim team head coach, and assistant pool manager.

Make Reservations Online!



We are pleased to announce that you may now check availability and request reservations online for the Southside Place Clubhouse, Pavilion, and Tennis Courts. There are links provided here as well as from the home page and within the Parks and Recreation Department.

Residents who do not currently hold a season pass can visit the website to create an account and apply for a season pass for the coming year. Residency is determined by address and to be able to receive the resident rates for rentals, you must create an account.

With an active account you will not only be able to reserve facilities, but you will be able to annually renew your season pass and register for summer camp and swim team when it becomes available for the summer season. 

*As of January 1, 2020 there will be a 3.5% convenience fee for all online payments.*

The Parks Department shall strive to enhance the living experience of the City of Southside Place by providing both public and private facilities for which our citizens will be proud and which help serve the needs of our community, to provide a safe play environment, and constructive and creative leisure opportunities for our children and families, to oversee the measured development and continued maintenance of the park and its facilities, while operating in a cost effective, fiscally responsible manner.
