Heavy Trash October 16 and 23

The Fall 2021 Heavy Trash will be collected for residents on two different dates.

The south half of the city from Gramercy to Farbar will be collected on October 16.

The north side of the city from Garnet to University will be collected on October 23.

Household hazardous collection will also take place for residents on their respective dates. Pick-up begins at 8 AM. Please place paint or other household hazardous items on the curb separate from other heavy trash items. Do not place heavy trash at the curb unless it is your assigned day.

Shred-It will take place only on October 16 in the Town Center parking lot from 9 AM - 12 PM. There will be no Shred-It on October 23.

Texas Water Development Board - Flood Stakeholder Workshops

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has added a fourteenth workshop to its roster of flood outreach meetings around the state. The meeting will be held at Houston City Hall on Friday, August 23, at 9:30 a.m.

Description of Responsibilities

The Public Works Department is composed of four (4) employees whose duties include sanitation and recycling collection, provide cleaning assistance for the streets and roadways, and perform other water/wastewater related maintenance as necessary.
